About Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga
Vaidyanath Dham at Deoghar in Jharkhand is celebrated as 'Baba Baidyanath' — the divine physician who heals all afflictions of body and soul. The Jyotirlinga is the spiritual centerpiece of the Shravan Mela, when over a crore pilgrims walk barefoot from Sultanganj carrying Ganga water on their shoulders.
The Jyotirlinga sits in a vast 22-temple complex including Parvati and Hanuman shrines.
