About this itinerary
Shillong, Cherrapunji and the living root bridges — a Meghalaya letter of mist, waterfalls and Khasi villages.
Meghalaya is water and cloud. We write it with a private car from Guwahati, a cottage in the wet hills, and a day on the root bridges that is not a race.
The atelier has walked the northeast for years. We still ask the village before we walk the bridge.

Day 01
N°01Guwahati to Shillong
Scenic drive up. Evening on Ward’s Lake or a café in Laitumkhrah.

N°02Shillong at ease
A museum hour, a viewpoint, and a market. Early night.

Drive to Cherrapunji / Sohra. Waterfalls and a canyon viewpoint.
