Day 01

Arrive in vibrant Sydney and transfer to your hotel. Spend a gentle first evening around Darling Harbour, lined with waterfront restaurants and twinkling lights, easing into Australian time as you watch the harbour come alive after dark.

A guided city tour takes in the sail-shaped Sydney Opera House, the leafy Royal Botanic Garden and Mrs Macquarie's Chair for the classic Opera House–Harbour Bridge photo, before continuing to the golden sands and surf culture of world-famous Bondi Beach.

Adventurous travellers can scale the arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on an optional BridgeClimb for unrivalled views over the city and harbour. The day continues with a relaxing lunch cruise, gliding past the Opera House, harbour islands and waterfront mansions while you dine on board.

Journey inland to the World Heritage Blue Mountains, named for the haze rising from vast eucalyptus forests. Marvel at the Three Sisters rock formation, ride the steepest passenger railway in the world at Scenic World, and meet koalas and kangaroos up close at Featherdale Wildlife Park.

A full-day catamaran cruise carries you out to the Great Barrier Reef, the largest living structure on Earth.
