Letters of the house
Questions, answered
Booking, hotels, payments and the road itself.
A short desk letter for the things guests ask before they travel. If your case is not here, write a planner — we do not hide behind a ticket queue.

Packages are starting points. The booking letter is the one that travels with you.
Refunds, visa stamps and hotel names are never guessed from a website FAQ. They sit on your itinerary, the Terms & Conditions, and the Cancellation Policy.
Asked of the house
Tour packages
N°01
What kind of tour packages do you offer?
Bhubaneswar Travel Mart plans journeys across Odisha, the rest of India, and international destinations. Published packages on this website are starting points. Duration, hotels, sightseeing and transport can be adjusted to the travellers in the booking.
N°02
Are the packages on the website fixed?
They are sample itineraries, not locked products. A planner can shorten, extend or rewrite a route around your dates, temple preferences, pace and budget band.
N°03
Can families, couples and pilgrim groups book different styles of the same destination?
Yes. The same region can be written as a family tour, a quieter couple’s stay, or a pilgrim-led circuit. Tell us who is travelling so hotels and days match the group.
Asked of the house
Customized packages
N°01
Do you design customized tour packages?
Yes. Share names, travel month, number of nights, and two places you do not want to miss. A planner typically replies with a first day-by-day itinerary rather than a generic brochure.
N°02
How long does a custom itinerary take?
A first outline is usually sent within a day when dates and headcount are clear. Hotel holds, darshan slots and international air depend on season and supplier confirmation.
N°03
Can you mix Odisha with a national or international chapter?
Often yes. Combined journeys need realistic travel days between regions. We will say so if a connection is too tight.
Asked of the house
Booking process
N°01
How do I book a tour?
Write through the Contact page, WhatsApp, phone or email. Once the itinerary is agreed, we share inclusions, exclusions and the payment steps that apply to that booking. A booking is confirmed only after we acknowledge receipt as set out in the Terms & Conditions.
N°02
Do I need to visit the Bhubaneswar office?
No. Most journeys are planned remotely. You are welcome to meet a planner at our Sundarpada office if you prefer to sit with a map before you travel.
N°03
What details should I send first?
Travel window, number of travellers, ages if children or elders are joining, preferred destinations, and any must-see temples, cities or rest days. Passport details are needed only when a visa or international ticket is part of the plan.
Asked of the house
Hotels
N°01
Who chooses the hotels?
You do, with our shortlist. We suggest stays that fit the route, the season and the budget band you name. Final hotels are those confirmed on your itinerary.
N°02
Can I upgrade or change a hotel after booking?
Often, subject to availability and the hotel’s own change rules. Any difference in rate or supplier fee is advised before we request the change.
N°03
Are meals included?
Meal plans vary by package and hotel. Inclusions are listed on the itinerary for that booking. Do not assume breakfast or all meals unless they are written there.
Asked of the house
Transportation
N°01
Do you arrange cars and chauffeurs?
Yes. Airport transfers, city cars and longer tour vehicles can be arranged as part of the journey. Vehicle type depends on headcount, luggage and the route.
N°02
Are flights and trains included in tour prices I see online?
Not unless the itinerary says so. Many land packages are hotels, transfers and sightseeing. Air, rail and coach seats are quoted separately when you ask us to hold them.
N°03
Can I use my own car?
You may travel independently for some legs. Tell us in advance so hotels and meeting points are written without duplicate transfers.
Asked of the house
Travel dates
N°01
Can I choose my own travel dates?
Yes for private tours. Festival weeks, peak summer in the hills, and major temple dates affect hotels and transport, so the same route can cost or feel different in another month.
N°02
What if my dates are not flexible?
We plan around a fixed window and say early if a hotel, darshan or flight is unlikely. It is better to adjust the route than to promise a stay that is already full.
N°03
How do date changes work after booking?
Date changes follow the Cancellation Policy and the rules of each hotel, airline or transport partner. Charges, if any, are those that apply to that booking — not a single site-wide percentage.
Asked of the house
International tours
N°01
Do you plan international holidays from Bhubaneswar?
Yes. Gulf, Asia, Europe and other routes are planned from the same desk, including hotels and, where requested, flights. Visa work sits beside the itinerary so dates and stays match the file.
N°02
Do you guarantee a visa?
No. We help assemble a complete file and appointments where needed. Embassies and consulates decide. Travel should not be treated as confirmed until the required visa or travel authority is in hand.
N°03
When should I start an international booking?
As early as your dates allow — especially for Schengen, peak-season hotels, and school holidays. Visa appointment slots can sit weeks ahead of departure.
Asked of the house
Payments
N°01
How do I pay?
Payment methods and the schedule for that journey are confirmed in writing with the booking. We do not publish a single deposit rule for every package, because hotels and airlines do not share one calendar.
N°02
Do prices include GST and extras?
Quoted prices should state what is included. GST, monument tickets, tips, personal expenses and optional sightseeing are included only when the itinerary says so.
N°03
Can I pay in parts?
Staged payments are sometimes possible, depending on supplier deadlines. Any schedule is written on the booking, not assumed from a previous trip.
Asked of the house
Cancellation
N°01
How do I cancel?
Send a written cancellation request to the planner handling your file, or through the contact details on this website. The time we receive that request is the time used with hotels and other suppliers.
N°02
Will I get a refund?
Refunds, if any, depend on how much of the journey was already paid to hotels, airlines and other partners, and on their own rules. See the Cancellation Policy. We do not publish a single refund percentage for every booking.
N°03
What about no-shows?
Unused nights, missed transfers and unused tickets are usually treated as consumed by the supplier. Details are in the Cancellation Policy and on your booking letter.
Asked of the house
Contacting the travel team
N°01
How do I reach a travel planner?
Use the Contact page, WhatsApp, phone or email listed on the website. A planner answers from Bhubaneswar — not a ticket queue.
N°02
Who do I call during the trip?
You are given the planner and, where relevant, a local contact for that journey. Keep those numbers saved before you leave.
N°03
What if my question is not in this FAQ?
Write to us. House letters cannot cover every date, visa or hotel. A short message with your dates is enough to start.
Asked of the house
Puri and Jagannath
N°01
How many days are enough for Puri?
Two nights covers Jagannath darshan and the beach without a rush. Add a night if Konark or Chilika is on the same trip, or if elders need a slower morning. A one-day drive from Bhubaneswar is possible; it is a long day.
N°02
What is the Jagannath Temple dress code?
Cover shoulders and knees. Many visitors wear a sari, dhoti, kurta or another modest outfit. Leather items are often left outside. Rules and the midday closure can change on festival days, so confirm them for your date.
N°03
Can everyone enter Jagannath Temple?
Entry to the main temple is traditionally limited. Ask us before you travel if anyone in the group may not be admitted, so the day is planned with respect and without a surprise at the gate.
N°04
When is a quieter time for darshan?
Early morning is usually kinder than late morning. Rath Yatra, snan and other festival weeks are crowded by design. A planner can say whether your dates fall in one of those weeks.
Asked of the house
Odisha planning
N°01
How many days are enough for Odisha?
Three days can hold Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark. Four or five days is the usual private pace if Chilika is included. A week suits wildlife, the south coast or a slower family trip. The itinerary guide on the blog sets this out.
N°02
What does an Odisha tour package cost?
Published prices on each package page are starting points for the hotels and car shown there. Your quote changes with the month, the room and whether the airport pickup is included. We send the number for your dates before you pay.

Still unsure? Ask the planner.
A short message with your dates is enough. We answer from Bhubaneswar, not from a call script.
