Gopalpur kept its fishing village and gave the rest to the tide. We hold a sea-facing room and leave the middle of the day empty.
A private car from Bhubaneswar or Berhampur; seafood that is still named in Odia; a lighthouse walk when the heat drops.

Drive from Bhubaneswar to Gopalpur. Check in to a sea-facing room and walk the beach at sunset.

A slow morning, the fishing harbour, and the lighthouse at dusk. Afternoon left for the balcony.

A short drive to the backwaters and casuarina shade. Return for a seafood dinner on the sand.
