    Arrive in Baku, the dazzling capital of Azerbaijan where East meets West on the Caspian shore, and check in. Spend the evening admiring the iconic illuminated Flame Towers and strolling the elegant, palm-lined Baku Boulevard along the seafront promenade.

    Old City & Modern Baku

    Explore the UNESCO-listed Icherisheher (Old City), a maze of ancient walls encircling the mysterious Maiden Tower and the medieval Shirvanshah's Palace. Contrast this with the futuristic, flowing curves of the Zaha Hadid–designed Heydar Aliyev Center, a marvel of modern architecture.

    Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes

    A full-day excursion to the Gobustan National Park reveals prehistoric rock carvings dating back thousands of years, followed by the surreal bubbling mud volcanoes that dot the landscape. Visit the eternal flames of the Ateshgah fire temple and the naturally burning hillside of Yanar Dag, the 'Land of Fire'.
