Day 01: Colombo- Kandy
Transfer to Kandy.En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.Overnight stay at Kandy Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, located in the hilltops of Kegalle is an exclusive orphanage where the little ones weigh up to 60kg or more.The place is Pinnewela Elephant Orphanage that is the first and only elephant orphanage that was established to provide food, care and shelter young elephants who have been lost from their mother's care.The other elephants who reside there are those that have been removed from their natural surroundings due to development projects, or who have been found injured. Visitors can see baby elephants eating milk from enormous feeding bottles, or bathing in the river that flows close by - a stunning moment!The park was founded in 1975 through the Wildlife Department and National Zoological gardens. This eventually led to a breeding program with more than 25 elephants have been born since 1984.DAY 02: Kandy
After breakfast, take your city tour, which includes temple of the tooth relic/ Gem museum/ Botanical Garden and a gem shop. In the evening, you can watch the show of dances from the past.Overnight stay at the hotel Kandy .Royal Botanical Gardens -This botanical garden was originally established as a leisure garden by an Sinhala King and later developed through the British. It covers large at 147 acres and has an incredible variety of plants, trees and flowers. Kandy is a beautiful exotic city that is it is the Hill Capital and the final fortress of the Sinhala Kings is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site which retains its grandeur that hasn't been affected by time.It is surrounded by hills and the tranquility of a lake in the middle It is also the location of the famous temple that is home to its Tooth Relic of the Buddha as well as it is also home to the Royal Botanical gardens - home to one of the finest collection of orchids.A place of refuge for the arts where stories, folklore, and legends are preserved with great care, Kandy and its satellite villages are at the center of the handicrafts industry in the island. (items comprised of brass, wood and silver) stunning gold or silver jewelry and precious stones with a wide range of forms, such as the finest Star and Blue sapphires.The main event of the city's calendar is Esala Perahera, when a replica of the casket that contains the Tooth is paraded through the city for ten nights of glittering lights during July and August. The procession is accompanied by exotically attired performers, drummers and about 100 Elephants.DAY 03: Kandy-Bentota
After breakfast, you will travel to Bentota to go to the Turtle Hatchery Farm in Kosgoda.After that, you can take the Madu water boat ride.Optional water activities.Stay the night at Bentota. Bentota is located on the coast of the south west located at the confluence of the ocean along with the Bentota river The sun-soaked location and the golden, palm-lined beaches that border the warm, clear water of the Indian Ocean made it a natural selection for development as the first resort for tourists.Today , it is regarded in the world's tourism markets as an extremely attractive tourist destination with a broad and diverse array of distinct hotels that will satisfy all tastes and budgets.Bentota is home to a variety of tourist services, excellent seafood, and extremely popular water sports centers that offer water skiing, boating, snorkelling, jet skiing, and wind surfing. These facilities offer water skiing, boating snorkelling, jet skiing as well as wind-surfing. Madu River -which flows across Balapitiya (approx 80kms to the south of Colombo) is among the most unexplored and unspoiled places for nature lovers throughout Sri Lanka.It boasts 64 tiny islands along her route and the majority are uninhabited and surrounded by mangroves.The smallest island of them all is named "Satha Paha Doowa" in which there is small shrine that houses an idol erected in honor for the Kataragama gods (Katharagama). According to the legends, this islet was bought at a cost of five cents. Some believe that the name came from because of the shape of the coin of five cents. Madu is definitely a tranquil and attractive place to anyone who wants to see the stunning natural landscapes.However, visitors who are overly excited should be advised! The Madu River is also a famous crocodile sanctuary.DAY 04: Bentota- Colombo
After breakfast, head to Colombo for an exploration of the city of Colombo.Stay the night in Colombo. Colombo as with many capital cities in emerging countries Colombo is rapidly changing its appearance.In a matter of minutes, towering buildings rise from the places where buildings of the past stood, however in some places, the old world character is still evident.The clock tower is 100 years old as well as a variety of British constructed colonial buildings can still be found throughout the capital city.The Pettah bazaar is where one can buy bargains, there is a Hindu and an Buddhist temple as well as residential areas where you see the residences of the wealthy and the Colombo museum and it's the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, an unofficial present of land to Sri Lanka from the people's republic of China the New Parliament in Sri Jayawardenapura and the folk art centre are just some of the tourist attractions which one could visit.DAY 05: Departure
